I'm delighted to report that
Rachel Cooper, a philosopher of psychiatry who, like me, graduated from the Cambridge
HPS department, but in her case, unlike mine, the training seemed to 'take', has just published a new
book on the philosophy of science of psychiatry.
I'll report back when I've read it but the manuscript version of it suggested a book well worth reading, genuinely combining philosophy and some history and making some contentious points.
